Big Weekend!

This past weekend was a big one for Miss R!

On Saturday, she participated in her first ever piano recital.  She played "My Clever Pup" and did such a great job!  She was the second one to play and was very brave!

 

After the recital, I told her I was taking her for a surprise.  She had no idea what we were doing, and was very excited when she found out - we were going to see the Duggar's!

 

They were in town doing some campaigning and made a stop at my parents' church to share their testimony.  Michelle Duggar was at home with some of the little ones who were sick.  But, Jim-Bob and the children did a wonderful job.  First they sang and played their instruments.  Jinger is AMAZING at the piano!  I had no idea!  Then Jim-Bob shared his life story: how he and Michelle grew up, how they both met the Lord, how they met each other, how they came to the decision to let God plan their family size, and how they came to have their own reality show.  Afterwards, we were able to meet them and take pictures.

 Then on Sunday, Miss R sang her first solo at church!  She did a beautiful job!  I asked her if she was nervous and she said that she was a little nervous, but not as much as she had been at the piano recital because she knew the people watching her at church.  I was happy that she felt so comfortable with our church family.
