A Really Good Day

Today was a really good day!  I felt much better pain-wise and even had some energy!  Besides homeschooling the kids I was able to clean out not one, but TWO closets.  And to top it off, I was able to go on a bike ride with my family after dinner.  These are all little miracles that I am so grateful for.  On a normal day I could homeschool the kids.  On a good day, maybe do one of the closets.  But for homeschooling, two closets, AND a bike ride - I feel like shouting from the rooftops how happy I am!!
On the bike ride we did some "site-seeing".  We stopped and watched the machines at the Foundry and then stopped and watched a train.  Not my cup o' tea, but I enjoyed watching my husband and two sons take it all in.  Miss O was pretty quiet, but Miss R talked my ear off the entire time.  Such a blast!
Having Fibro is such a blessing in that these simple moments truly do cause my heart to overflow.

Back to (Home) School Pictures 2013/2014

The public schools in our area all went back to school today, so we took some of our own Back to Homeschool Pictures.

Mr. N, age 3 soon-to-be 4, Preschool

Mr. G, age 2, Pre-Preschool

Miss R, age 8, 3rd Grade

Miss O, age 5 soon-to-be 6, Kindergarten

They started holding hands and singing a song from VBS, so I thought I'd better snap a picture!

Here's to a great year!

Summer Trip to the Farm

The other day our entire family, yes all 6 of us, were blessed to be invited to spend some time on a farm owned by a friend of Jared's family.  I was really nervous the day before that I wouldn't be able to go.  It's about a 2 hour drive, and I was afraid I wouldn't feel good, or that if I went I would hurt once we got there and ruin the fun.  But, that morning, I felt pretty good and decided to go.  I'm so glad I did!  I felt great the whole time!  The couple who had invited us are some of the sweetest people I have ever met.  Here are some pictures from our time on the farm!

First we walked out in the fields to meet the calf.  What a cutie!

The kids were able to pet her.

Next we fed the goat.

Then we spent some time with the show pigeons.

The babies still had some down under their wings.

After the pigeons came the chickens!

And last of all the horse.

Mr. N volunteered to be first to take a ride.

All done!  He had the biggest smile on the entire time!

Next was Mr. G.

They showed him where to hold on.

He had a blast!

Miss R was third.  She was a little hesitant at first, but once she was on, she loved it.

Miss O was last.  She was nervous so the granddaughter of the couple we were with volunteered to go with her.  She was so sweet!

After the farm we had a picnic lunch at a park in a small town.  It was so lovely and quiet and we enjoyed the company of our new friends.  Thank You, Father, for giving us such a wonderful day.
