Summer Trip to the Farm

The other day our entire family, yes all 6 of us, were blessed to be invited to spend some time on a farm owned by a friend of Jared's family.  I was really nervous the day before that I wouldn't be able to go.  It's about a 2 hour drive, and I was afraid I wouldn't feel good, or that if I went I would hurt once we got there and ruin the fun.  But, that morning, I felt pretty good and decided to go.  I'm so glad I did!  I felt great the whole time!  The couple who had invited us are some of the sweetest people I have ever met.  Here are some pictures from our time on the farm!

First we walked out in the fields to meet the calf.  What a cutie!

The kids were able to pet her.

Next we fed the goat.

Then we spent some time with the show pigeons.

The babies still had some down under their wings.

After the pigeons came the chickens!

And last of all the horse.

Mr. N volunteered to be first to take a ride.

All done!  He had the biggest smile on the entire time!

Next was Mr. G.

They showed him where to hold on.

He had a blast!

Miss R was third.  She was a little hesitant at first, but once she was on, she loved it.

Miss O was last.  She was nervous so the granddaughter of the couple we were with volunteered to go with her.  She was so sweet!

After the farm we had a picnic lunch at a park in a small town.  It was so lovely and quiet and we enjoyed the company of our new friends.  Thank You, Father, for giving us such a wonderful day.
