Purim!

I managed to check Facebook while I was feeding the baby, and discovered from a post that today is Purim!  Purim is a holiday for the Jewish people, celebrating their deliverance from death as told in the Book of Esther.  We had recently read this book, so the story was fresh in their minds.
 

Today we read the account of Esther from one of our favorite Bible storybooks.

Now Miss R is busy writing her own account, pretending to be Queen Esther.  I can't wait to read what she writes!  She also wants to put together a play about Esther for our family to enjoy.  We'll see if she has time to do all of that today.  Next year, I really should plan ahead!
