Under the Son Homeschool Open House 2012

Welcome to the Under the Son Homeschool Open House 2012!
(Well, it was last Saturday, but here's a glimpse of what we did!)

First, the welcome sign on our beloved folding magnetic white board with the foam letters we use for teaching letters/beginning reading.

A sampling of the books and work we did this year.

Mr N holding the program.  The kids were very excited that I made programs...it made the Open House very Official.

The girls in their new dresses from Grandma and Grandpa, given to celebrate the completion of First Grade and Preschool.  They waited eagerly at the door to greet our guests.

The first guests arrived, bearing gifts of flowers!  These blooms have sat in the girls' room all week.  The vase has spilled twice, but hasn't broken!  (yet!)  Thanks H for the flowers!!  What a sweet gift!

After the rest of the guests arrived, the program began.  Miss O shared her letter-sounds song...

Mr N shared the ABC's and Miss R read poetry.
The children showed us a few more things they learned this year and we finished the night with root beer floats!  On to second grade and 4K we go!
