This week Miss R was begging me to please start some of her new school books for 2nd grade. I couldn't really think of a good reason why not to, so we began...slowly, ever so slowly and gently. Miss O also began some of her 4K books. I actually love that we school year round. School this week was literally curling up on the couch with some good books, our Kindles, and a little bit of table time working on math and copywork. It was very low-stress. Honestly, I would rather do lots of these low-stress days all year round than try to crazily fit everything in during the traditional school year. We will take days off this summer, but as long as we're home, we might as well enjoy our school books together. =)
Miss R has been sewing away on her counted cross-stitch, so I decided Miss O needed some type of handicraft to do too. I bought her some loops and taught her to finger knit. She caught on right away and has loved having a project to work on.

Baby G has finally begun table foods. He had his one year well-child check up this week and weighed in at 22 lbs! He may be my largest one year old - which I suppose makes sense since he was my largest baby.

Loved reading this and love what you are doing and that
ReplyDeletepicture of O is priceless!
